Welcome to the Flint River Valley Chapter of Michigan Steelheaders Web Page.  Located in Flint Michigan, the Flint Steelheaders was formed in 1976 and since then has helped by playing a key role in the development and conservation of Great Lakes sport fishing.

Flint's 375 members have a wide interest range.  From our fishing tournaments and outings, monthly membership meetings, the Spring Boat & Fishing Show at the Birch Run Expo Center, golf outings, fund raisers, the holiday dinner dance and awards banquet in December.  There are many other activities that the whole family would enjoy.

Be our guest and cruise through our web site to learn more about our chapter and how to join.  Whether you're a weekend angler, Charter Captain, or just someone interested in Michigan's Great Lakes and it's fishery,  you'll find it here.

Captain Kevin Hughes from Sandpiper Sport Fishing Charters and Pat Bentley, one of the captains that works with him, will be the featured speakers at our January monthly meeting.  Their presentation will be on using wire divers, lead core, and meat rigs to entice stubborn Kings. These techniques are tournament proven as their second day box at the Benzie Frenzy last August weighed over 190 pounds with 10 fish.  Check out their website, http://sandpipersportfishingcharters.com, for more information.
